The Top Team
With only eight league matches remaining, Omiya Ardija stands at 15th place in the J2 rankings and is currently in a safe position, but four teams will be relegated at the end of the season and Omiya is among the nine teams fighting to avoid ending up at the bottom four.
At Match 32 of the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J2 League against Tochigi SC that took place on October 3, Kohei Yamakoshi celebrated his 100th J.League match. The club accepted reservations from fans that wished to purchase the commemorative T-shirt that was released to celebrate the occasion.

Women’s Team
On September 20, Omiya Ardija Ventus played a home game against Albirex Niigata Ladies, drawing 1-1 with a goal by Miyuki Takahashi. This was the first goal for the team since Ardija Ventus debuted this season. Omiya lost the ‘Saitama Derby’ against Urawa Reds Ladies with a 1-4 score, but the club’s first league victory came when they played against Sanfrecce Hiroshima Regina at home. Ayaka Inoue scored three goals and became the first player to mark a hat trick in the WE League, and the team won 4-1.
To embody the philosophy of the WE League, October 10 – 17 was declared “Ventus Action Week”. Players from Omiya Ardija Ventus participated in the following activities:
① a major cleanup in the fifth sector in Saitama City’s North Area
② a campaign to encourage elementary school students to voice greetings when they leave the school premises
③ a visit to the Nadeshiko Class football coaching school
④ trying out football played by people with an impairment
Ruka Norimatsu of Ardija Ventus was added to the members invited to take part in the training camp for Nadeshiko Japan (Japan’s Women’s National Team) candidates.

Development
Rion Ichihara of Omiya Ardija’s U18 team and Mark Isozaki of the U15 team were selected to take part respectively in the U-16 and U-15 Japan National Team candidates’ training camp.

Marketing
The second “Players Online Talk Show and Lottery” was held on September 26. Hiroko Kokuryo, who serves as the personality on the FM NACK5 “Ardija Hotline” radio show, emceed the event that featured Yuta Minami, Yuta Mikado, Atsushi Kawata, and Atsushi Kurokawa from Omiya Ardija. 30 pairs of fans and supporters chosen by a draw were invited and enjoyed the talk show, and gifts were given away through a lottery.

The Ardija Business Club carried out an online support event for Match 32 of the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J2 League against Tochigi SC. This was the first trial of an online support event at an away match. Ten participants representing eight firms logged on from different locations. After the match, head coach Masahiro Shimoda surprised them with an unexpected message of appreciation for their support. They all made a toast with a glass of Asahi Beer and celebrated Omiya’s victory.
